Banocid Forte 30 Tab

Banocid Forte by GSK contains diethylcarbamazine, a long-used anti-filarial medicine prescribed mainly for infections caused by certain microscopic worms in the blood and tissues.

• Treats lymphatic filariasis
• Helps in tropical eosinophilia
• Used in some other worm-related conditions

Diethylcarbamazine weakens the microfilariae (tiny worm forms) and changes their surface so the body's defence system can spot and remove them.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or after a meal to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water.

• Mild fever or chills
• Headache
• Nausea or itching

Inform your doctor if you have kidney or heart issues, or are pregnant. Reactions in the first few days are common and usually settle.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees C, away from light and children.
