Metatop 12 g

Metatop from Zydus is a skin preparation containing Mometasone Furoate, a moderately strong steroid for external use. It is prescribed for inflammatory skin problems that cause itching, redness or rash.

• Eczema and atopic dermatitis
• Psoriasis on body or scalp
• Allergic skin rashes and contact dermatitis
• Itchy, inflamed insect bites

Mometasone Furoate is a corticosteroid that calms the local immune reaction in the skin. It reduces the chemicals that cause redness, swelling and itching, giving relief and helping the skin heal.

Apply as prescribed by your doctor. Wash and dry the area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin and rub in gently. Wash hands after use unless the hands are being treated.

• Burning, stinging or itching at first
• Skin dryness or peeling
• Thinning of skin on long use
• Increased body hair at the site
• Acne-like spots

Do not use on the face, underarms or groin unless the doctor advises. Avoid use on broken or infected skin. Not for use under bandages or on large areas in children unless specifically prescribed. Do not use for longer than advised.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
