Eptoin from Abbott is a phenytoin tablet used to help manage seizures in epilepsy, offering a lower-strength option for fine dose adjustments.

• Helps prevent tonic-clonic and focal seizures
• Useful when smaller dose steps are needed
• May be used after head injury or brain surgery on advice

Phenytoin reduces abnormal electrical bursts in the brain by stabilising nerve cells, helping lower the chance of seizures.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, at the same time each day. Swallow with water and do not change your dose without medical guidance.

• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Gum thickening over time
• Skin rash, nausea, or unsteady walking

Keep up with regular dental hygiene and check-ups. Inform your doctor about liver problems, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or other medicines. Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.

Keep below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture, and out of children's reach.
