Oxytetracycline injection from Abbott contains oxytetracycline, a tetracycline-class antibiotic used to treat a range of bacterial infections.

Oxytetracycline stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply, helping the body clear the infection.

This injection is given by a doctor or nurse. Complete the full course as prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better early on.

• Pain or irritation at the injection site
• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Loss of appetite
• Sensitivity to sunlight

Share any history of kidney or liver problems, allergies, pregnancy, or breastfeeding with your doctor. Avoid in young children and during pregnancy as it can affect bone and tooth development. Limit sun exposure during treatment.
