Gardenal Syrup 100 ml

Gardenal Syrup from Abbott contains phenobarbital in a liquid form, often used for children and people who find tablets difficult. It is mainly used to control seizures.

• Childhood epilepsy
• Generalised tonic-clonic seizures
• Partial seizures
• Febrile convulsions in select cases

Phenobarbital strengthens the effect of GABA, a calming chemical in the brain, which reduces abnormal electrical activity that can trigger seizures.

Measure the dose with the cap or spoon provided and take as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Drowsiness
• Hyperactivity in some children
• Tiredness
• Mild rash

Do not stop suddenly, as this can trigger seizures. Tell your doctor about liver issues, other medicines and any allergies your child may have.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from light. Close the bottle tightly after use and keep out of reach of children.
