Jardiance Met 12.5 from Boehringer Ingelheim is a combination tablet of empagliflozin and metformin. It is used in type 2 diabetes when blood sugar needs more than one medicine to stay in a comfortable range.

How it works

Empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, helps the kidneys flush out extra sugar through urine. Metformin, a biguanide, lowers the sugar produced by the liver and improves how the body uses insulin. Together they cover glucose from two different paths.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with meals to ease the stomach. Swallow whole with water and stay well hydrated.
