Zomelis DM 500

Zomelis DM 500 from Eris Lifesciences is a triple-combination diabetes tablet with Vildagliptin, Dapagliflozin and Metformin. It is used in adults with type 2 diabetes who need stronger control with multiple drugs.

• Type 2 diabetes in adults
• When two drugs alone are not enough
• Combined blood sugar control

Vildagliptin boosts insulin release after meals; Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys pass out extra sugar in urine; Metformin reduces sugar produced by the liver and improves how the body uses insulin. Together they bring blood sugar down through three different paths.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or just after meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water and drink enough fluids during the day.

• Nausea or loose stools (early days)
• Urinary or genital infections
• Increased urination
• Low blood sugar with other diabetes drugs

Not for type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis or severe kidney disease. Tell the doctor about liver, kidney or heart problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop temporarily before scans with contrast dye if advised.

Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the strip in its original pack and out of reach of children.
