Daxid 25

Daxid 25 tablets from Mylan contain a low strength of Sertraline, an antidepressant from the SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) group. The lower strength is often used at the start of treatment or for sensitive patients.

Sertraline gently raises serotonin, a natural mood-lifting chemical in the brain, by stopping nerve cells from soaking it back up too fast. Over a few weeks this helps ease low mood, worry and panic.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, ideally at the same time each day. Do not stop on your own; your doctor may slowly lower the dose when it is time to stop.

• Dry mouth

Tell your doctor about all other medicines, especially other antidepressants, tramadol or migraine drugs. Inform if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have liver issues, seizures or bipolar disorder. Full benefit usually takes 2-4 weeks, so be patient and stay in touch with your doctor.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the strip in its original pack and out of reach of children.
