Product information
About
Telma LN 40/20 from Glenmark is a stronger version of the Telmisartan and Cilnidipine combination. It is prescribed when blood pressure needs a higher calcium-channel blocker strength alongside an ARB.
Uses
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Cases needing tighter BP control with two complementary medicines
How it works
Telmisartan blocks the angiotensin-II receptor, relaxing the blood vessels. Cilnidipine is a calcium-channel blocker that widens arteries and is considered easier on heart rate compared with older calcium-channel blockers, supporting smoother BP control.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. Keep to the same time every day.
Side effects
- Ankle or leg swelling
- Headache
- Dizziness on standing
- Flushing
- Tiredness
Precautions
Share your full medical history with your doctor, including liver, kidney or heart problems. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Limit grapefruit juice and rise slowly from sitting or lying down.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
