About
Zoryl MV 1/0.3 is an Intas combination tablet for type 2 diabetes that pairs glimepiride (a sulfonylurea), metformin (a biguanide), and a stronger dose of voglibose (an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor). The higher voglibose dose is aimed at people with more pronounced post-meal sugar spikes.
Uses
- Type 2 diabetes with marked post-meal hyperglycaemia
- Better all-round blood sugar control
- Multi-pathway therapy when single drugs fall short
How it works
Glimepiride pushes the pancreas to release more insulin, metformin reduces glucose made by the liver and improves how muscles use it, and voglibose slows down digestion of complex carbs in the gut so blood sugar climbs less sharply after eating.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with the first bite of the meal so voglibose can act on the food. Do not skip meals after dosing.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar episodes
- Bloating, gas, and loose motions
- Stomach discomfort early on
- Possible vitamin B12 drop with long use
Precautions
Share any kidney, liver, or bowel history with your doctor. For hypoglycaemia use plain glucose, since voglibose slows the breakdown of regular sugar.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
