About

Zomelis SG from Eris Lifesciences combines Vildagliptin with Remogliflozin. It is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes who need combined therapy for better blood sugar control.

How it works

Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases insulin release after meals and lowers liver sugar production. Remogliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that helps the kidneys remove extra sugar through urine, working together for better daily control.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food at the same time daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water and drink enough fluids during the day.

Side effects

  • Urinary or genital infections
  • Increased urination or thirst
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Low blood sugar with other diabetes drugs

Precautions

Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Tell the doctor about kidney, liver or heart problems, frequent urinary infections, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Monitor blood sugar regularly.
