Telma MCT 50/12.5

Telma MCT 50/12.5 from Glenmark is a triple-combination tablet of Telmisartan, Metoprolol and Chlorthalidone with a higher beta-blocker strength. It is prescribed for adults needing firmer control of BP and heart rate together.

• High blood pressure not controlled by two medicines
• BP with raised heart rate or palpitations, as advised by the doctor

Telmisartan blocks the angiotensin-II receptor and relaxes the blood vessels. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart and reduces its workload. Chlorthalidone is a thiazide-like diuretic that helps the kidneys flush extra salt and water, supporting better BP control.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or just after food. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop on your own as the beta-blocker needs gradual tapering.

• Slow heart rate
• Tiredness or cold extremities
• Dizziness
• Increased urination at the start
• Changes in potassium, sodium or uric acid

Share your history of asthma, severe heart failure, heart block, gout, diabetes, liver or kidney disease with your doctor. Avoid alcohol and avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
