Product information
About
Telma LNB 50 from Glenmark is a triple-combination tablet of Telmisartan, Benidipine and Metoprolol. It is prescribed for adults whose blood pressure or heart workload needs three different actions in one tablet.
Uses
- High blood pressure not controlled by two medicines
- BP with raised heart rate or angina-type chest discomfort, as advised by the doctor
How it works
Telmisartan is an angiotensin-receptor blocker that relaxes blood vessels. Benidipine is a calcium-channel blocker that further widens the arteries. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart and reduces the force of each beat, lowering blood pressure and heart strain together.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or just after food. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly, as the beta-blocker part needs gradual tapering.
Side effects
- Slow heart rate
- Tiredness or cold hands and feet
- Dizziness
- Ankle swelling
- Headache
Precautions
Tell your doctor about asthma, very slow pulse, heart block, severe heart failure, liver or kidney disease, or pregnancy. Avoid alcohol and check your pulse if asked to.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
