Glucreta 10

Glucreta is a once-daily diabetes tablet from Torrent. It belongs to the newer SGLT2 inhibitor family, which works through the kidneys to remove extra sugar from the body.

• Manages blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes
• May be used alongside other diabetes medicines

Dapagliflozin blocks the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, which normally reabsorbs glucose back into the blood. Blocking it lets the body pass extra sugar out through urine, lowering blood sugar levels.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Drink enough fluids through the day.

• Genital or urinary tract infections
• Mild dizziness or thirst
• Back pain

Tell your doctor about kidney issues, dehydration, or a history of urinary infections. Maintain good personal hygiene. Avoid in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor advises. Watch for signs of low blood sugar if combined with other diabetes medicines.
