Gluconorm VG 1

Gluconorm VG 1 from Lupin is a triple-action diabetes tablet that combines voglibose (an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor), glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and metformin (a biguanide). It is generally prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes whose sugar spikes after meals are hard to control.

Voglibose slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut so glucose enters the blood more gradually after meals, glimepiride asks the pancreas to release more insulin, and metformin reduces the sugar made by the liver while improving how cells use insulin.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally with the first bite of a meal so the voglibose can act on the carbs you eat. Swallow whole with water.
