Gluconorm PG 1 Forte from Lupin is a higher-strength three-in-one tablet that combines pioglitazone (a thiazolidinedione), glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and a stronger dose of metformin (a biguanide). It is generally for adults with type 2 diabetes who need firmer control.

Pioglitazone improves how cells respond to insulin, glimepiride pushes the pancreas to release more insulin, and the higher metformin dose cuts down liver sugar output and supports better glucose use by muscles.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a meal so the higher metformin dose is gentler on the stomach. Swallow whole with water.
