Gzide M from Elder is a prescription anti-diabetic tablet that combines two well-known oral medicines to manage type 2 diabetes when single therapy is not enough.

Gliclazide belongs to the sulfonylurea group and prompts the pancreas to release more insulin, while metformin lowers the amount of sugar made by the liver and helps the body's cells respond better to insulin. Together they bring blood sugar down through two complementary routes.

Swallow with water along with a meal as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip meals after taking the tablet.

Keep regular sugar checks. Avoid alcohol. Tell your doctor about kidney, liver or heart problems and before any scan with contrast dye. Carry a sugar source for quick relief of low-sugar episodes.

Store below 25°C in a dry place away from sunlight. Keep in the original strip until use.
