Deletus Pearls from Abbott contain Benzonatate, a non-narcotic cough suppressant. Doctors prescribe it for dry, irritating coughs that disturb daily activities or sleep.

Benzonatate numbs the stretch receptors in the airways and lungs, which reduces the cough reflex. This calms the urge to cough without affecting alertness like older cough medicines.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the pearl whole with water. Do not chew, crush or suck on it, as this can numb the mouth and throat.
