Glucobay 25 contains acarbose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used in type 2 diabetes. It is marketed in India by Zydus and helps reduce the sugar spike that follows meals.

Acarbose slows the breakdown of complex carbohydrates in the gut by blocking enzymes that turn them into simple sugars, so glucose enters the blood more gradually after eating.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first bite of a main meal. Swallow whole with a little water and follow your diabetes diet plan.
