Imeglyn 500

Imeglyn 500 from Zydus contains Imeglimin, an oral anti-diabetic medicine. It is used together with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Imeglimin is a first-in-class oral anti-diabetic. It acts on the pancreas to release insulin when sugar is high, improves how muscles use insulin and reduces extra sugar made by the liver. The result is better all-day sugar control.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, usually with morning and evening meals. Keep up with your diet plan, exercise and home sugar monitoring.

• Mild dizziness
• Low sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas

Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems and all other medicines. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless the doctor decides. Learn the signs of low sugar and how to treat it.
