Met XL H 25

Met XL H 25 from Ajanta is a combination blood-pressure tablet with Metoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. It is prescribed when a beta-blocker alone is not enough to control hypertension.

• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Mild fluid retention along with raised BP

Metoprolol slows the heart and lowers its pumping force. Hydrochlorothiazide is a water tablet (diuretic) that helps the kidneys flush out extra salt and water, reducing the volume of blood the heart has to handle. Together they bring pressure down more effectively.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, preferably in the morning so the diuretic effect does not disturb sleep. Swallow whole with water at the same time daily.

• Increased urination, especially after starting
• Tiredness or mild dizziness
• Slow pulse
• Muscle cramps
• Low potassium or sodium on long use

Inform the doctor of asthma, gout, kidney or liver problems, diabetes, or pregnancy. Drink enough water and have potassium-rich foods like banana and coconut water unless restricted. Get blood tests done as advised.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
