Tenormin 50 from Abbott contains Atenolol, a cardioselective beta blocker. It is widely used for high blood pressure, certain heart rhythm problems and to ease the workload on the heart in angina.
Uses

How it works
Atenolol blocks beta-1 receptors mainly in the heart. This slows the heart rate, lowers the force of each beat, and reduces blood pressure, so the heart needs less oxygen to do its job.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, as it can worsen heart symptoms.

Precautions
