Petroleum jelly forms a thin, breathable layer on the skin that slows water loss, allowing the skin underneath to rehydrate and heal naturally.

Clean and dry the area, then gently apply a thin layer with clean fingertips as often as needed. Reapply after washing the area or before bed for deeper overnight care.

• Very rarely, mild irritation or blocked pores in those prone to acne
