Sunscreen filters sit on the skin surface and absorb or reflect UV rays before they damage skin cells. The high SPF and PA rating mean both sunburn-causing UVB and ageing UVA rays are blocked, which is important for people using retinoids or benzoyl peroxide that make skin more sun-sensitive.

Apply a generous layer on clean, dry face and neck about 15 minutes before going out. Reapply every 2 to 3 hours during heavy sun exposure or after sweating, swimming or towel drying.

Do a small patch test the first time if your skin is very sensitive. Avoid the eyes. Sunscreen alone is not enough on very strong sunny days, so also wear a cap and prefer shade. Keep using even on cloudy days as UV rays still pass through.
