Zeptol CR 400

Zeptol CR 400 from Sun Pharma is a controlled-release carbamazepine tablet used mainly to manage seizures and certain nerve pain conditions, with the medicine released slowly through the day.

• Helps control epileptic seizures
• Eases sharp facial nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia)
• May be used in some mood disorders as add-on therapy

Carbamazepine is an anticonvulsant that stabilises sodium channels in nerve cells, calming the bursts of electrical activity that drive seizures and certain types of nerve pain.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, ideally with food, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush, split, or chew the controlled-release tablet.

• Drowsiness and dizziness
• Nausea or vomiting
• Blurred or double vision
• Skin rash
• Unsteady walking

Share any liver, kidney, heart, or bone marrow issues, and any past skin reactions to medicines. Avoid alcohol. Use with care in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not stop suddenly as this may trigger seizures.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from sunlight. Keep in the original pack and out of reach of children.
