Kutjarishta

Kutjarishta from Baidyanath is a classical Ayurvedic fermented tonic with Kutaj (Holarrhena antidysenterica) as the main herb. It has long been used in Ayurveda for digestive and bowel-related issues.

Kutaj is well known in Ayurveda for its action on the intestines. The fermentation process is believed to make the herbal compounds more absorbable. Together, the herbs are thought to balance Pitta and Kapha, calm the gut lining and reduce excess loose motions.

Take as directed on the pack or by your Ayurvedic doctor. Usually mixed with an equal amount of water and taken after meals, once or twice a day.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use. Diabetics should check the sugar content with the pharmacist. If diarrhoea is severe, has blood, or is accompanied by high fever, consult a doctor promptly.
