Draksharistha

Draksharistha is a classical Ayurvedic fermented liquid tonic from Baidyanath, made primarily from raisins (Draksha) along with supporting herbs. It is one of the better-known asavas-arishtas used in Indian traditional medicine.

The self-generated alcohol from natural fermentation carries the herbal actives in an easy-to-absorb form. The raisin base is traditionally seen as nourishing and gently stimulating to digestion, which is the focus of this formulation.

Take as directed on the pack or by your Ayurvedic practitioner, usually a small measured dose with an equal quantity of water after meals.

• Generally well tolerated when taken in the recommended dose
• Mild sweetness may not suit those advised to limit sugar

Not recommended during pregnancy, in children, or for people advised to avoid alcohol-based preparations. Diabetic users should check with their doctor before use. Always shake well before pouring.
