Isotroin Capsules from Cipla contain Isotretinoin, a vitamin A derivative. It is prescribed by dermatologists for severe acne that has not responded to other treatments.

Isotretinoin is a retinoid that reduces the size and oil output of skin oil glands. It also reduces acne-causing bacteria and skin inflammation, helping the skin become clearer over a few months.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with food, as fat helps the medicine absorb. Stick to the full course advised; do not skip or stop early.

• Dry lips, dry skin and dry eyes

Never use during pregnancy or planning pregnancy; reliable contraception is a must for women. Avoid donating blood during and for a month after treatment. Limit alcohol; tell your doctor about any mood changes.
