Primolut N from Zydus contains Norethisterone, a man-made form of the female hormone progesterone. It is used by doctors to control several menstrual problems.

• Heavy or painful periods
• Postponing a period for a short time
• Irregular menstrual cycles
• Endometriosis
• Premenstrual symptoms

Norethisterone acts like the body's own progesterone. It stabilises the lining of the womb, which helps control bleeding, eases period pain, and can delay a period when started a few days before it is due.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Try to take it at the same time each day to keep an even level in the body.

• Nausea or bloating
• Breast tenderness
• Headache
• Mood changes
• Spotting between periods
• Weight changes

Not for use during pregnancy or with a history of blood clots, liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Tell your doctor about migraines, diabetes, high blood pressure, or breast lumps. Avoid smoking while on hormones.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
