Norlut N from Cipla contains Norethisterone, a progestin (synthetic form of progesterone). It is used for several menstrual and hormonal conditions.

• Heavy or irregular periods
• Postponing periods for short reasons
• Painful periods and endometriosis

Norethisterone acts like the natural hormone progesterone on the lining of the uterus. It steadies the lining so that bleeding is reduced and the cycle becomes more regular.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with water. Try to take it at the same time each day. Do not stop in the middle of the course unless your doctor advises.

• Nausea
• Breast tenderness
• Headache
• Spotting between periods

Tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, liver disease, breast cancer, heart problems, or are pregnant. Stop the tablet and seek help for sudden chest pain, leg pain, or vision changes.

Store below 25 degrees C, away from heat, light, and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
