ARZU 5 from Lupin contains aripiprazole 5 mg. It belongs to a group of medicines called atypical antipsychotics and is used to manage certain mental-health conditions.

• Schizophrenia
• Bipolar disorder, especially manic episodes
• Add-on treatment for major depression
• Irritability linked to autism in some patients

Aripiprazole works by balancing dopamine and serotonin activity in the brain. Instead of fully blocking dopamine, it acts like a regulator — calming down activity when it is too high and gently supporting it when it is too low. This helps steady mood, thinking and behaviour.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel better — speak with your doctor first.

• Restlessness or feeling unable to sit still
• Sleep problems
• Mild weight gain
• Nausea, vomiting or constipation
• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Headache

Not recommended in elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis because of higher risks. Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, heart problems, seizures or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol. Be careful while driving until you know how the medicine affects you.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
