Nexito 15 contains escitalopram, an antidepressant in the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) family. The Nexito brand is marketed in India by Sun Pharma.

Escitalopram increases the available level of serotonin in the brain by slowing its reabsorption, which over time helps improve mood and ease anxious feelings.

Take the tablet with water at the same time each day, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice, as this can cause withdrawal symptoms.

• Drowsiness or sleep changes
• Dry mouth, sweating
• Changes in sexual function

Let your doctor know if you have seizures, bleeding problems, liver issues, or have ever had suicidal thoughts. Avoid alcohol. The full effect usually takes a few weeks to build up.
