Brivetam 50 from Leeford contains brivaracetam, an antiepileptic medicine used to help control partial-onset seizures in epilepsy. It is usually combined with other seizure medicines.

Brivaracetam binds to a protein called SV2A on nerve endings in the brain, helping calm the abnormal electrical activity that triggers seizures.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow whole with water and avoid stopping suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.

Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, depression, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving until you know how it affects you.
