Paxidep CR from Sun Pharma is a controlled-release tablet of paroxetine, an SSRI antidepressant used for depression and several anxiety disorders.
Uses
- Depression
- Generalised anxiety

How it works
It raises serotonin in the brain by slowing its reuptake, which gradually helps lift mood and reduce anxious thoughts.
How to take
Swallow whole with water, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not chew or split the CR tablet.
Side effects
- Nausea, dry mouth
- Drowsiness or insomnia
- Sweating, dizziness
- Reduced sexual desire
Precautions
Tell your doctor about all medicines, particularly MAOIs or blood thinners. Do not stop abruptly — taper under guidance. Avoid alcohol.
