Pexep CR from Intas Pharmaceuticals is a controlled-release tablet containing Paroxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). The CR format releases the medicine gradually through the day, helping smooth out levels and reducing the up-and-down feel some people get with immediate-release antidepressants.

• Major depressive disorder
• Panic disorder
• Social anxiety disorder
• Generalised anxiety and OCD as advised by your doctor
• Post-traumatic stress symptoms

Paroxetine blocks the reabsorption of serotonin in the brain, leaving more of this mood-balancing chemical available between nerve cells. Over a few weeks, this helps lift mood, reduce worry and ease panic episodes. The controlled-release coating spreads the dose over many hours for steadier action.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water — do not chew, crush or split the tablet. Try to take it at the same time each day, with or without food.
