Trinicalm Plus 10 tab

Trinicalm Plus from Torrent is a combination tablet of Trifluoperazine, a typical antipsychotic, with Trihexyphenidyl, an anticholinergic that helps reduce the movement-related side effects of antipsychotics. It is used mainly in psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia.

• Schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses
• Severe anxiety not responding to usual treatment (as advised)
• Helps reduce stiffness and tremor from antipsychotic treatment

Trifluoperazine blocks dopamine receptors in the brain to ease symptoms like hallucinations, delusions and severe agitation. Trihexyphenidyl blocks acetylcholine in certain brain pathways, which helps balance the side effects of Trifluoperazine such as stiffness and tremor.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water at the same time each day. Do not stop on your own, as suddenly stopping can worsen the underlying illness.

• Drowsiness or sedation
• Dry mouth, blurred vision
• Constipation, difficulty in passing urine
• Tremor, stiffness or restlessness
• Weight changes and giddiness on standing

Tell the doctor about glaucoma, prostate problems, heart disease, epilepsy, liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol. Do not drive until you know how it affects you. Long-term use needs regular psychiatric review.

Store below 25°C in the original strip, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
