Olanzapine balances dopamine and serotonin activity in the brain, the two chemical messengers that are out of sync in conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. This helps calm hallucinations, mood swings and disordered thinking.

Place the tablet on the tongue and let it dissolve as prescribed by your doctor; no water is needed. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel better, as symptoms can return.
