Mucolite 10 tab

Mucolite tablets from Dr. Reddy's Laboratories contain ambroxol, a mucolytic agent derived from bromhexine. They are used to thin and clear thick mucus from the airways.

• Wet cough with thick mucus
• Bronchitis and bronchiectasis
• Mucus build-up in COPD
• Post-flu or post-cold congestion

Ambroxol thins sticky mucus by changing its structure and boosts the natural surfactant in the lungs. This helps the tiny hairs in the airways move mucus upward and out.

Swallow with water as prescribed by your doctor, ideally after food. Drink warm fluids through the day to help loosen mucus further.

• Nausea
• Mild stomach upset
• Dry mouth or throat
• Skin rash (rare)

Tell the doctor about ulcer history, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid taking it together with strong cough suppressants, as that can trap mucus inside.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep tablets in the original strip and away from children.
