Ropark 2 from Sun Pharma is a higher-strength tablet of Ropinirole, a dopamine agonist. The 2 mg strength is generally used once the body has adjusted to lower doses of the medicine.

• Parkinson's disease
• Restless legs syndrome (moderate to severe)

Ropinirole behaves like dopamine, a brain chemical needed for smooth movement, and acts on the same receptors in the brain. This helps ease tremor, stiffness and slowness of movement in Parkinson's disease, and calms the uncomfortable leg sensations of restless legs syndrome.

Swallow with water as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly or change the dose on your own, as the medicine is usually tapered slowly.

• Nausea
• Drowsiness or sudden sleep attacks
• Dizziness when standing up
• Mild leg swelling
• Unusual urges in some people

Tell your doctor about heart, liver or mental health problems. Avoid driving until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid alcohol, which can add to drowsiness.
