Ropark 0.5 from Sun Pharma is a tablet of Ropinirole, a dopamine agonist used in Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome. The 0.5 mg strength is often used as the dose is slowly increased.

• Parkinson's disease
• Restless legs syndrome (moderate to severe)

Ropinirole acts like the brain chemical dopamine on its receptors. In Parkinson's disease, this helps reduce tremor, stiffness and slowness of movement. In restless legs syndrome, it calms the uncomfortable urge to move the legs at night.

Swallow with water as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. The dose is increased gradually, so always follow the schedule your doctor gives you and do not stop suddenly.

• Nausea
• Drowsiness or sudden sleep attacks
• Dizziness when standing up
• Mild leg swelling

Inform your doctor of any heart, liver or mental health concerns. Avoid driving until you know how it affects you. Alcohol can increase drowsiness.
