Andol 0.5 contains haloperidol, a first-generation antipsychotic used to manage symptoms of certain mental health conditions. The low strength is often used for milder cases or in older adults.

• Schizophrenia
• Acute psychosis
• Severe behavioural problems
• Tics in Tourette syndrome

Haloperidol blocks dopamine receptors in the brain, helping to calm overactive signalling that contributes to hallucinations, agitation and disordered thinking.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Do not stop suddenly, as your doctor will guide a gradual change if needed.

• Drowsiness or sedation
• Muscle stiffness or tremor
• Dry mouth
• Restlessness

Avoid alcohol while on this medicine. Tell your doctor about heart, liver or Parkinson-related conditions, and any other medicines you take.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep in the original strip, away from light and out of reach of children.
