Pramirol SR 0.52 is an Intas formulation of pramipexole, a dopamine agonist, in a sustained-release tablet. It is used for Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome, releasing the medicine slowly over the day for steadier symptom control.

• Parkinson's disease, alone or with other therapies
• Moderate to severe restless legs syndrome
• Easing stiffness, tremor and slowed movement

Pramipexole mimics dopamine in the brain, stimulating the same receptors that natural dopamine acts on. This helps smooth out the movement signals that become irregular when dopamine-producing cells are lost.

Swallow the tablet whole with water once a day, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush, split or chew the sustained-release tablet, and try to take it around the same time each day.

• Nausea or reduced appetite
• Daytime sleepiness or sudden sleep attacks
• Dizziness, especially on standing
• Vivid dreams or mild hallucinations

Tell your doctor about kidney problems, low blood pressure, or any history of impulse-control issues such as gambling or compulsive shopping. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, and be cautious about driving until you know how it affects you.
