Rizact 5 from Cipla is a lower strength Rizatriptan tablet for migraine attacks. The lower dose is often chosen for first-time users or for people sensitive to triptans.

• Migraine attacks with or without aura
• Migraine-linked nausea, sound and light sensitivity

Rizatriptan stimulates serotonin receptors that narrow swollen blood vessels around the brain and reduce release of pain-related chemicals. This brings down the headache and the surrounding migraine symptoms.

Take as prescribed by your doctor as soon as a migraine attack begins. Swallow with water. It treats an active migraine; it does not prevent future attacks.

• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Tiredness
• Tightness in chest, throat or jaw
• Dry mouth
• Flushing

Avoid if you have heart disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, stroke history, or severe liver disease. Mention all other migraine, antidepressant or ergot medicines to the doctor to avoid interactions.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
