Roghan-E-Badam Shireen from Hamdard is a traditional preparation of pure sweet almond oil. It is widely used in Indian households as a gentle oil for the skin, hair and scalp, and also taken in small amounts as a mild laxative aid.

Sweet almond oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E. When massaged, it forms a soft layer on the skin that locks in moisture and softens rough patches. Taken by mouth in small amounts, it lubricates the bowel and helps it move more easily.

For massage, warm a few drops between your palms and apply on the skin or scalp. For internal use, follow your doctor's or family elder's advice. Do not exceed the suggested amount.
