Product information
About
Duonase Nasal Spray from Cipla combines Azelastine, an antihistamine, with Fluticasone, a nasal steroid. It is prescribed for people with troublesome allergic rhinitis whose symptoms do not settle with a single medicine.
Uses
- Sneezing and runny nose from allergy
- Blocked or stuffy nose
- Itchy nose and watery eyes
- Year-round and seasonal allergic rhinitis
How it works
Azelastine blocks histamine, the chemical released during an allergic reaction. Fluticasone reduces swelling and inflammation inside the nasal lining. Together they ease congestion, sneezing and itching.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle, blow your nose gently, then spray into each nostril while breathing in softly. Avoid spraying straight at the middle wall of the nose.
Side effects
- Bitter taste in the mouth
- Nasal dryness or mild bleeding
- Headache
- Sneezing right after use
Precautions
Not meant for sudden allergy attacks; it works best when used regularly. Inform the doctor about recent nose surgery, glaucoma, or tuberculosis. Avoid spraying into the eyes.
Storage
Keep below 25°C, upright and tightly closed. Do not freeze. Discard within the time mentioned on the carton once opened.
