About

Otrivin Advance Nasal Spray from GSK contains Xylometazoline, a fast-acting decongestant. It is used for short-term relief of a blocked nose during colds, allergies or sinus issues.

Uses

How it works

Xylometazoline narrows the swollen blood vessels in the nose lining. This reduces the swelling and lets air pass through, so breathing becomes easier within minutes.

How to take

Blow your nose gently, insert the nozzle into one nostril and press once while breathing in. Use the number of sprays mentioned on the pack and do not exceed 3 to 5 days of continuous use.

  • Rebound stuffiness if overused
  • Mild headache

Precautions

Avoid in high blood pressure, heart problems, glaucoma or thyroid issues unless advised. Do not share the bottle with others. Not recommended for very young children.
