About
Duova Inhaler from Cipla delivers Tiotropium with Formoterol as a daily maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Uses
- Long-term control of COPD

How it works
Tiotropium is a long-acting anticholinergic that blocks the nerve signal which tightens airway muscles. Formoterol is a long-acting beta-agonist that relaxes the same muscle. Both together keep the airways open for many hours.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Breathe out fully, place the mouthpiece between the lips, press and breathe in deeply, then hold the breath for a few seconds. Rinse the mouth after use.
Side effects
- Dry mouth
- Mild tremor or fast heartbeat
- Throat irritation
- Headache
Precautions
This is not a rescue inhaler - keep a separate reliever for sudden breathlessness. Tell the doctor about glaucoma, prostate problems, heart disease, or thyroid issues. Avoid spraying into the eyes.
Storage
Keep below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Do not puncture or burn the canister even when empty.
