Product information
About
Aclind BP from Mohrish Pharmaceuticals is a topical acne gel that pairs clindamycin 1%, an antibiotic, with benzoyl peroxide 5%, an anti-bacterial peeling agent. The 15 g tube is a popular doctor-prescribed combination for moderate, pus-filled pimples.
Uses
- Inflamed pimples and pustules
- Mild to moderate acne
- Helps reduce acne-causing bacteria
- Unclogs blocked pores
How it works
Clindamycin reduces the bacteria on the skin that drive acne, while benzoyl peroxide releases oxygen that kills those same bacteria and gently unblocks pores. Using them together also lowers the chance that the bacteria become resistant to the antibiotic.
How to take
Apply as prescribed by your doctor, usually a thin layer once a day on clean, dry skin.
Side effects
- Dryness, peeling or mild redness
- Stinging or burning at first
- Increased sun sensitivity
- Rarely, allergic itching or swelling
Precautions
Use on the whole acne-prone area, not just on individual pimples. Avoid eyes, lips, mouth and broken skin. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach clothes, towels and hair, so let the gel dry fully and use old pillow covers. Apply sunscreen during the day. Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
Storage
Keep the tube tightly closed in a cool place away from heat and sunlight, and out of reach of children.
