About
Chupp Syrup from Abbott is a cough preparation that combines a mucus-thinning agent, an expectorant and a bronchodilator. It is prescribed for wet, chesty cough with airway tightness.

How it works
Bromhexine thins sticky mucus so it is easier to clear. Guaiphenesin loosens secretions further, and terbutaline relaxes the muscles around the airways so breathing feels easier.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well and use the measuring cup. Drinking plenty of water helps the mucus stay loose.

Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or an overactive thyroid. Use cautiously in young children and only on medical advice during pregnancy.
