About
Doxinate XT Tablet from Maneesh Pharmaceuticals is a stronger combination of Doxylamine, Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) and Folic Acid. It is a prescription medicine used in pregnancy for harder-to-control nausea and vomiting, along with folic acid support.
Uses
- Persistent morning sickness in pregnancy
- Nausea and vomiting not controlled by lower-strength tablets
- Folic acid support in early pregnancy (as advised by doctor)
How it works
Doxylamine is an antihistamine that calms the brain's vomiting centre. Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) further reduces pregnancy-related nausea. Folic Acid is a B-vitamin needed in early pregnancy to support the developing baby's brain and spine.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually swallowed whole with water at bedtime since drowsiness can occur. Do not crush or break the tablet. Do not change the dose on your own.
Side effects
- Marked drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness
- Constipation
- Blurred vision
- Headache
Precautions
Use only under the care of an obstetrician. Avoid alcohol and any other sedating medicines. Do not drive or use machinery if you feel sleepy. Inform the doctor about asthma, glaucoma, urinary problems or any long-term condition.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
